We are excited to announce that our next voyage of “the ship” will be Thursday, March 21st from 6:00pm to 7:30pm! This new ministry is focused on building the next generation through fellowSHIP, discipleSHIP, relationSHIP, and worSHIP for young families, young adults, youth, and children. This ministry is an opportunity to faithfully participate in the life and ministry of McEver Rd Church through your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Everyone can get involved to show your support! Thank you to all who participated to make our initial launch a success. We continue to need your help, McEver Rd Church, to ensure that “the ship” is a meaningful ministry. Please contact Chris Hester to explore how you can continue to help launch “the ship."

Mark your calendars for a day filled with joy, reflection, and celebration on Sunday, May 19 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.! Between the morning service and festivities that will follow, we'll gather to commemorate half a century of spiritual growth and togetherness. It's a milestone worth celebrating, and we want YOU to be a part of this historic occasion! Special Guest Speakers : Prepare to be inspired and uplifted by pastors and members, who will share their wisdom, stories, and insights, guiding us through the church’s journey of faith and renewal. Ensemble Performances : Let the melodies of praise and worship fill your hearts as our talented ensembles lead us in a range of beautiful music, celebrating the power of faith and community. Delicious Food : Indulge in a feast fit for the occasion! From savory delights to sweet treats, there will be something to please every taste bud. ***DUE TO RAIN WE HAVE POST-PONED TO SATURDAY, MARCH 30 at 10 a.m.*** The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at 10:00am. We encourage you to bring the kids, grandkids, great grandkids and even the neighbor kids! You can help us with this year’s event by donating filled eggs and candy beginning today. Donations can be dropped off at the church on Sundays or feel free to drop them in the Bagley Annex kitchen during regular church office hours. We thank you for your contributions and look forward to another thrilling hunt!

We are looking for volunteers and donations of food for our upcoming Easter Pancake Breakfast (post Sunrise Service on March 31 st) . Starting this Sunday there will be a signup sheet available for you to bring the following items: breakfast casseroles, fruit salad or trays, pastries, orange juice, or just to help us with the setup and cleanup. The church will provide pancake mix, syrup, and our full coffee cart. All food needs to arrive ready to eat by no later than 7:45 am that morning. Breakfast will be served from 8:00am to 9:15am in the church pavilion. Cleanup will be completed by 10:15am at the latest so that the church can be ready for the 11:00am Worship service. Thank you for the generous donations of food left in the Bagley Entry Hall to help feed our neighbors in Hall County. Our next opportunity to work at the Panty is Monday, February 19 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and Saturday, February 24 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The only skills necessary are to be kind and to help our neighbors in need! The Pantry is located at 4211 Walnut Street, on the corner of Oakwood UMC behind the Oakwood Park Splash Pad. Hosted by the Conference Board of Laity, these regional sessions are a time for members of North Georgia Conference United Methodist churches to come together for fellowship, relationship building, and strengthening our United Methodist identity and our identity as disciples of Jesus Christ. Bishop Robin Dease will attend this gathering to answer questions along with District Superintendents. Registration cost is $20. The gathering for North East and Central East Districts are together on Sunday, March 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Korean Church of Atlanta UMC in Duluth. We are excited to announce that McEver Rd Church will be launching its new ministry, “the ship,” on Thursday, February 29th! This new ministry is focused on building the next generation through fellowSHIP, discipleSHIP, relationSHIP, and worSHIP for young families, young adults, youth, and children. We need your help, ALL of McEver Rd Church, to launch “the ship.” For this ministry to be a success we will need folks who are willing to help ensure the safety of our children, be a part of the meal preparation team, be welcoming faces for the next generation, and simply share the love of Jesus. To start, “the ship” will take place only once a month and will last approximately an hour and a half. This ministry is an opportunity to faithfully participate in the life and ministry of McEver Rd Church through your prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. We’re so excited about having you, your family, and your friends join us throughout the Advent and Christmas season! This year, the fourth Sunday of Advent falls on Sunday, December 24. In addition, New Year’s Eve falls on Sunday as well. Therefore, we will offer the following worship experiences: Sunday, December 24 - 11 a.m. worship (no 9 a.m. Holy Grounds service), normal refreshments Sunday, December 24 - 5 p.m. Stories and Carols with Candle-Lighting and Hot Cocoa Sunday, December 31 - 11 a.m. worship (no 9 a.m. Holy Grounds service), light refreshments
