How to Give:
Donations may be made through our church by putting a check in the offering plate made out to the church with a note for ”2013 May Tornado Relief” on the memo line.

Donations may also be made directly to the Conference Treasurer’s Office by mail:  Conference Treasurer’s Office, PO Box 102417, Atlanta, GA 30368-2417

This year’s menu includes a sandwich, a salty snack, a fruit snack and a healthy drink (100% juice box or water) daily.  Volunteers are desperately needed  to make lunches,  pack lunches for distribution, deliver lunches and volunteers to do enrichment activities at the “picnic sites”.

Something that is special to the program in Hall County is that we will be delivering a lunch to every student as they leave their elementary school summer school program each day. The summer school day ends before lunch is served, and many of these children will go home without eating. Our plan is to put a lunch in each hand as they leave the school.

We need our church members to help collect the items needed for the lunches that McEver Road UMC will be preparing on June 5^th. We will be preparing 150 lunches for school children in our area. We will need loaves of white or wheat bread, salty snacks (pretzels, chips, cheese crackers, peanut butter crackers, etc.), fruit snacks (fresh fruit, dried fruit, apple sauce, fruit cups), bottled water or juice boxes, and sliced ham for the sandwiches, Ziploc bags and brown paper bags. Please bring these items in and drop them off in the collection bin. Contact Brian Cave at 770-548-2549 to find out what our current needs are, as the list will change as the collection process continues. All items not used for the lunch program will be donated to the South Hall Community Food Pantry.

Checks may be made payable to McEver Road UMC, marked for “The Bonnie Circle.”

The menu will feature hamburgers and brats, cooked on the new grill donated by the Men’s Club. We will also have potato salad, coleslaw, and salad Bar. The cost? Just donate what you can to help defray expenses.
