The 50th Anniversary celebration potluck is coming upon us; it will be Sunday, May 19 at 12:00pm. We are asking our amazing church family cooks to sign up for side dishes, salads, desserts, and drinks. Sign-up sheets are available. We are looking to serve 150-200. Celebrate Epiphany with Giving To celebrate Epiphany (Monday, January 6th) this year, and to help us remember the gifts the Magi brought to the baby Jesus for the 12 Days after Christmas, we invite you to please take a bag to fill with 12 (or more) 28 oz jars of jelly or jam (or 15oz cans of fruits and/or beans ). Please bring your donations to the Church by no later than Sunday, January 12th. We encourage you to sing this little tune as you gather your donation: (To the tune of Jingle Bells) Jelly Bells, Jam Bells The Pantry needs some Now Apple, Grape, & Strawberry, Please fill a bag, So our neighbors can chow down! Activities Begin at 4 PM: Sip on hot cocoa Enjoy Christmas crafts Get creative with cookie decorating Snap fun pictures with a special guest: The Grinch! Worship Begins at 5 PM: Advent Christmas Story & Scripture Reading: Together, we’ll reflect on the story of Christmas as told in Scripture and sing beloved carols of the season. Candle Lighting Ceremony: End the evening with a magical congregation-wide candle lighting while we sing “Silent Night.” This event is a perfect way to celebrate the season, spend quality time with loved ones, and connect with our wonderful community. Support the North Atlanta Homeless Community Through McEver’s Holiday Fundraiser Dinner! Join us on Wednesday, December 11, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, for a special fundraiser dinner at the pavilion, supporting Grace By Time and their mission to bring comfort and essentials to those experiencing homelessness. Each $10 meal helps fund a warm holiday dinner, as well as provide much-needed items like toiletries, coats, blankets, and more to our neighbors in need. Together, we’ll help create a safe, welcoming space for the community this holiday season. Enjoy a delicious meal while making a meaningful impact. Let’s come together to share hope and support this important cause!

Samaritan’s Purse: Operation Christmas Child Join our Children’s Ministry in packing shoeboxes for children in need. We’ll be collecting donations for Operation Christmas Child between now and the morning of Sunday, November 17th.  Items to donate can include small stuffed animals, foam toys, balls, dress-up jewelry, hair ribbons, sunglasses, school supplies (pencils, crayons, markers, notebooks, rulers), coloring books, stickers, and small windup style flashlights. Note: No candy, gum, toothpaste, war-related toys, foods, liquids, or lotions can be accepted. Also, no glass or aerosol containers. We’ll also need your empty shoe boxes so now is the time to clean out those closets! Donations can be dropped off in the box outside the church office during regular office hours or on Sunday mornings. Lynda Price Children’s Ministry

McEver Road UMC Trunk or Treat 2024 We are looking forward to partnering with area churches and city organizations to offer our annual Trunk or Treat event at the Oakwood Community Center. The event itself will be be on Sunday, October 27 from 4 PM - 6 PM but we are asking those who are signing up with their decorated trunk to be at Oakwood Community Center an hour early (3 PM) to park and setup. This is a huge event with a few hundred in attendance so please bring candy to give out (we will have more donated candy on hand to resupply trunks that run out) Other activities available will include: Face Painting Bounce House Costume Contest w/ gift card prizes (child and adult winners) Chili Cook-off Smores making FREE hotdogs and chips (while supplies last) Presence of Police and Fire Departments Find out the details about decorating your truck and sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/Trunk-or-Treats Thank you.
